ARLINGTON COMMUNITY FOUNDATION COVID-19 PROMPT RESPONSE FUND

Arlington Community Foundation’s long-standing Prompt Response Fund allows us to respond quickly to help our nonprofit partners when an emergency, disaster, or crisis hits. To meet the urgent challenges of the COVID-19 outbreak in Arlington, we are focusing our Prompt Response Fund exclusively on support to nonprofit organizations who are on the front lines with clients, patients, and residents impacted by the health crisis. We will rapidly deploy donated funds as grants to nonprofits working tirelessly to support our most vulnerable residents -- those who are experiencing an urgent, unexpected need associated with the coronavirus. As the weeks pass, we anticipate that the hardship on individuals and families will intensify, and our use of these prompt response funds will evolve as this crisis evolves. THE COVID-19 RESPONSE FUND FOR NORTHERN VIRGINIA

The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia’s COVID-19 Response Fund for Northern Virginia will attract and provide flexible funding resources for nonprofit organizations and other programs in our region responding to COVID-19 and its impacts.  The Fund’s focus will be to help communities who are disproportionately impacted by the virus and its economic consequences. The Fund is designed to complement the work of public health officials, as COVID-19 is a public health issue, and as such, funding decisions will be made in consultation with them across our entire service area in Northern Virginia, which includes the Counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William, and the cities of Alexandria, Falls Church, Fairfax, Manassas and Manassas Park.

Block operating grants will be awarded to local nonprofits with deep roots in our community and strong experience working with our most vulnerable neighbors.  Questions about the fund can be directed to covid19@cfnova.org and more information is available at www.cfnova.org/community-leadership/covid-19-response-fund-for-northern-virginia.
